Programs/Events, 1991

 File — Box: 13-12

Scope and Content

From the Series:

The first series dealt with events and programs initiated by LaSalle Art Museum, more specifically Caroline Wistar and Brother Daniel Burke. The date ranges from the birth of the Art Museum in 1969 with an outline of the goals and mission of the Art Museum in relation to students’ curriculum. The material spanned forty years from 1969-2008 with some years more heavily represented than others. A unique aspect about this series is the overwhelming number of programs and events dedicated to or donated by the Susan Dunleavy Collection, a LaSalleian undergraduate who was tragically killed in an automobile accident. Brother Daniel Burke focused mainly on biblical artistic representations with some deviation in to Tudor England portraits/art history. In almost every year there was a Christmas program while other years, better represented, also had the spring and fall programs.
