Scope and Content From the Collection:

The records of the La Salle University Library consist of circulation statistics dating back to the 1960s, general correspondence, records of the library's membership in PALCI, Catholic Library Association, and the Tri-State Library Cooperative, Annual Reports, records of building program, self-studies and reports.

Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series:

This subseries includes all of W.D. Ehrhart’s research material accumulated in the publishing of Ordinary Lives: Platoon 1005 and the Vietnam War (Temple University Press, 1999). See Special Collections Vietnam call numbers VE24 .E369 1997 and VE24 .E369 1998 for manuscript drafts of this work.

Scope and Contents From the Series:

Correspondence files constitute one third of the Ehrhart Papers. Three separate sets of correspondence were received, which relate to different general activities. The original order of each set is reflected in the arrangement of the subseries below. In many cases files include correspondence from both the correspondent and Ehrhart himself. The collection is strong in correspondence with other Vietnam veteran writers, often including samples of their writing.

Series II Description From the Series:

This series contains unpublished manuscripts, proofs, and chapbooks of Levine’s work dated 1970s-2020. Folder titles indicate either the title of the work in draft; a general description of their contents; or Levine’s own naming conventions as listed in the “Index of Collection Contents” in Series I.

67 notebooks dated 1969- 2012. Early notebooks are comprised mostly of handwritten prose and poetry, but often contain ordinary notes. The smaller notebooks kept in later years were carried by W.D. Ehrhart during the work day for notes and reminders. Folder titles indicate the first few words in each notebook.
